It is our pleasure to name TwinStar Credit Union as the
2017 United Way of Lewis County Business of the Year!
TwinStar Credit Union arrived on the Lewis County scene in 1982 when Centerville Community Credit Union merged into what was then Twin County Credit Union. The original location on Gold St. has been remodeled a few times since but still serves members at the same location. Today there are more than 12,000 member households in Lewis County accessing the wide variety of financial services provided by TwinStar Credit Union.
TwinStar’s community commitment has expanded over the years along with our business presence in Lewis County. TwinStar delivers financial literacy programs to area school children and provides grants to Lewis County elementary school teachers. TwinStar supports more than 20 community events in Lewis County each year with both monetary and leadership support. TwinStar responded to the devastating flood nearly 10 years ago; as well as, the closure of part of the Trans Alta operations with loan modifications, financial fitness classes and other outreach to affected Lewis County residents.
They are proud to be aligned so closely with other leaders in Lewis County. TwinStar believes that happy, healthy and better educated people will contribute to a thriving community, and that’s good for everyone! The future is bright and they're looking forward to participating in the development of the Lewis County community.
