About United Way of Lewis County...
We are YOUR United Way
For more than 55 years, United Way of Lewis County has helped thousands of deserving people and has been the charitable partner for many area agencies, businesses and civic organizations. United Way of Lewis County has invested millions of dollars that directly and indirectly touch nearly every Lewis County man, woman and child. We have the unique ability, vision and resources to bring together diverse stakeholders around a community vision of creating positive change in Lewis County.
Our strategy is to focus on programs and services to build early literacy, youth success and financial stability for those in need. Why? Because everyone deserves the opportunity for a good life.
United Way of Lewis County focuses its resources on three Impact Areas:
Early Literacy - to ensure children surpass key school readiness and early grade level reading benchmarks. (ages 0-12)
Youth Success - help to ensure children graduate high school with the skills necessary to pursue post-secondary education or vocational training. (ages 13-18)
Financial Stability - to ensure individuals develop and build the financial and employability skills they need to make informed financial decisions to achieve long-term financial stability.
United Way leverages your donor dollars with grants and other corporate and civic contributions to multiply your gift many times over. Our leaders convene partnership opportunities to bring more to the table: more dollars, more partners and more programs.
