Power of the Purse

Open your purse to reduce poverty in Lewis County...

To embrace the power and knowledge of women in our community, United Way of Lewis County will be hosting the 14th Annual Power of the Purse event on Tuesday, August 6th at 4:30pm at the Centralia College TransAlta Commons.

Power of the Purse is a unique fundraising event accessorized with all the things women love - purses, fashion, comradery and fun! It also brings together women from all walks of life who want to make an impact in our community and celebrate the power of women’s philanthropy through United Way of Lewis County. From a raffle of fabulous prizes to a drawing for a designer purse, you and your friends will have the opportunity to enjoy great fashion and a night out on the town! This year's event theme is "A Day at the Derby" - dress to the nine's like a day at the Kentucky Derby; fancy hats and fascinators encouraged! (but not required)

By investing in United Way of Lewis County's vital poverty work, you are changing lives every day. YOU are an important piece of the puzzle in creating a healthy, vibrant Lewis County.

United Way of Lewis County will be honoring a remarkable woman with the
7th Annual 'Woman of Distinction’ Award!

Tickets for this year's event will go on sale in June 2019.
