It comes with great sadness that United Way of Lewis County recently made the difficult decision to postpone this year’s Chef’s Night Out event slated for Saturday, Sept. 18. This decision did not come lightly, as Chef’s Night Out has become a staple in our community and United Way’s largest fundraising event of the year thanks to this community’s incredible support.
There were many factors that weighed into this decision; largely the challenges that our restaurants and chefs have been facing due to COVID-19, staffing, and supply chain issues. In addition, with the significant increase in COVID-19 cases once again, the ability to host large scale events in-person becomes uncertain.
We are anxious to bring this culinary fundraising event back in 2022 bigger and better than ever! In the meantime, we hope you find it in your heart to make a donation towards our important community-wide goal of lifting 30% out of poverty by 2030. Your support is the backbone of United Way and our ability to change so many lives in our community. Every donation, large or small, takes us one step closer to our goal.
We need your help now more than ever. Donations can be made by visiting www.lewiscountyuw.com or by texting UNITED4LEWIS to the number 44-321.
Thank you for your understanding and continued support.
