United Way of Lewis County Honors Long Standing Board Member, Dick Piesch

United Way of Lewis County honored 24-year board member and retired Weyerhaeuser employee Dick Piesch for his service to the Lewis County community. On Thursday, United Way board and staff recognized Dick for his outstanding commitment to United Way of Lewis County as he ended his final term serving on the board.

In 1994, Dick began his journey on the United Way of Lewis County Board of Directors, recruited by former local business owner Carmen Hummel. He has served as Campaign Chair, and on several Board Committees, including Executive, Community Investment, Agency Relations and Bylaw's Committees.  Dick truly believed that serving on the United Way Board is the best way for him to improve his community.

Dick has seen many changes throughout his years of service and has been a great historian for United Way of Lewis County. He believes whole-heartedly in United Way’s process of accountability and being good stewards of donor dollars.

He and Marti, his wife of over 50 years, love traveling the world and square dancing, and they look forward to continuing their support of United Way of Lewis County.
