UNITED WAY OF LEWIS COUNTY JOINS THE #GIVINGTUESDAY MOVEMENT AND ENCOURAGES GIVING BACK ON DECEMBER 1ST

United Way of Lewis County will be participating once again in #GivingTuesday; a global movement dedicated to giving back and inspiring charitable giving during the holiday season.

Occurring this year on December 1, #GivingTuesday is held annually on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving, where “Black Friday” and “Cyber Monday” are recognized as huge shopping days that officially kick off the holiday season.  #GivingTuesday is simply about creating a day to come together to do good, improve our community, and celebrate giving! #GivingTuesday will inspire people to take action to improve our local community; give back in better, smarter ways to the charities they support and help create a better Lewis County.

“Giving Tuesday is a movement to inspire generosity; not just another website to list our charity profile or an event that replaces our existing giving campaign. #GivingTuesday is an opportunity for United Way of Lewis County to draw attention to what our organization is doing in the community and its impact.” says Debbie Campbell, Executive Director of United Way of Lewis County.

United Way of Lewis County invites the community to be part of this day of celebration, providing a platform for people to contribute to our community and help make this season the biggest giving season yet.
